(Gen 41:45) [There is good reason to believe that Asenath was the daughter of a priest who believed in the true God even as Moses married Zipporah daughter of Jethro, the Priest of Midian. God used both of these men mightily and as types of Christ. Joseph's faithfulness presupposes that he would not seek the daughter of a priest of idolatry. Moreover their two sons are specially blessed by Jacob, noting that the younger far exceeds the older brother. The two sons in their birth order (of both Joseph and Moses) may portray the Jewish and Gentile portions of the Bride of Christ.]
